Jalen Scott is on cloud nine. 

 

He and his classmates have just successfully fundraised to build a shelter for the less fortunate with local non-profit organization Sunshine Corp, run by pillars of the community Frank and Dale Little, and are planning an event to celebrate their achievement.

 

When local philanthropist Paula Day is found dead at her home days later, police arrest her husband, who was out of town with a shaky alibi.

 

Connections the victim had to Sunshine won't leave Jalen alone, however, and as he investigates he begins to wonder how honest his heroes may actually be.
